Do you need a monthly online Parent Support Group Facilitator? Look no further. Let me assist your group. We will discuss the ups and downs of being parents while giving one another the beautiful gift of nonjudgmental, moral support. This Parent Support Group is a place where all parents can be honest and vulnerable with one another in order to experience real life connections and friendships. As your facilitator I will focus on sharing helpful tips and tricks about self care and personal mindfulness to assist in healing the broken pieces of the "parental heart" as well as discuss simple yet effective skills for becoming better people and better parents for our families. Non Therapeutic Peer Support Group
Do you need a Youth Peer Support Group Facilitator? Look no further. This ONLINE program provides two separate semi-structured peer support groups, one for boys and one for girls grades 5th-12th.
The main purpose of these groups is to help students gain insight from those who have had similar shared experiences, communicate resolutions, offer support, and also to just socialize and make new friends. According to the World Health Organization, “Peer support is generally understood to be a relationship of mutual support where people with similar life experiences offer each other support, especially as they move through difficult or challenging experiences.” The online meeting will usually begin with an informal introduction, and an open forum for any questions or topics students are interested in discussing. This is an open group; however, the number of participants in the group is limited to 6 students in a 12 week rotation. Please contact me ahead of time if someone attending will need online accommodations. Attendees are welcome to invite a parent, family member, or a close friend. Please contact me for additional information: Email parentingwithharmony@gmail.com |
