Join me for this monthly Parent Support Group that meets the 1st Tuesday of each month. We will discuss the ups and downs of being parents while giving one another the beautiful gift of nonjudgmental, moral support. This circle is a place where all parents can be honest and vulnerable with one another in order to experience real life connections and friendships. As your facilitator I will focus on sharing helpful tips and tricks about self care and personal mindfulness to assist in healing the broken pieces of the parental heart as well as discuss simple yet effective skills for becoming better people and better parents for our families. I hope you will join us from 6:30p-7:30

This 6 week course is dedicated to making parenting and teaching fun and rewarding, instead of stressful and chaotic. It provides practical tools and techniques that help adults achieve respectful, healthy relationships with their children.
Children learn the best lessons when they're given a task and allowed to make their own choices (and fail) when the cost of failure is still small. Children's failures must be coupled with love and empathy from their parents and teachers. All of the curriculum is based on a psychologically sound parenting and teaching, whole-child philosophy called Love and Logic. Parents will learn to: use humor, hope, and empathy to build up the adult/child relationship, emphasize respect and dignity for both children and adults, provide real limits in a loving way and teach consequences and healthy decision-making. This practical, research-based philosophy is backed with over 40 years of experience. Parents can apply it immediately to a wide range of situations instead of struggling with difficult counseling procedures. |
This program provides two separate semi-structured peer support groups, one for boys and one for girls grades 5th-12th. Girls meet from 4:30pm to 5:30pm and Boys meet from 5:30pm to 6:30pm, the 1st and 3rd Tuesday & Thursday of the Month.
The main purpose of these groups is to help students gain insight from those who have had similar shared experiences, communicate resolutions, offer support, and also to just socialize and make new friends. According to the World Health Organization, “Peer support is generally understood to be a relationship of mutual support where people with similar life experiences offer each other support, especially as they move through difficult or challenging experiences.” The meeting will usually begin with an informal introduction, and an open forum for any questions or topics students are interested in discussing. Light refreshments will be served. This is an open group; however, the availability of space in the group is limited to 6 students in a 12 week rotation. Please contact the facilitator ahead of time if someone attending will need accommodations. Attendees are welcome to bring a parent, family member, or a close friend. Please contact the facilitator for additional information, questions, concerns, or if you have any comments about previous meetings or recommendations for future meetings. |

-Relationship & Life Coaching are the application of coaching to personal and business relationships. *Relationship Coaching helps functional people achieve their relationship goals. It is not a substitute or replacement for therapy provided by a licensed clinician trained to treat mental, emotional, and psychological disorders. While relationship coaches might be experts in relationships, the art and science of coaching is to facilitate success for the client without providing advice or “professional opinions.”

Like almond butter and jelly, children and music just go together. In addition to the fun that music & movement classes provide, they also help the brain process new speech sounds. Babies and toddlers alike will love exploring the sounds, colors and textures of our music and movement classes and preschool age to school age children will forever cherish the catchy songs they learn together — even if they’re constantly stuck in their heads.
